super cool, super mean
feelin' good, for the man
Superfly, here i stand

Actually a picture of my desktop. It's a cropped picture of the movie poster. My dad looks like Youngblood Priest

:D THats pretty cool ^_^ Love the little poem below...Really down to earth and understandable :p

--
~~ Whenever there is a beating, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever. ~~

"TEEEEEN I WANNA COME OVER YOUR HOOOOOOOOOOOOU--ZBZBZBBZBZBZBZBBZBTTTTTTTT"

That's the lyrics from "Pusherman" by Curtis Mayfield. The song was written just for the movie.

--
If holidays were twelve months long
And life were games and fun
And all the skies
Were filled with PSI's
...Would thinking still get done?

Why must these blood suckers be glorified? That gold around their necks, they wear their wealth because the Feds will take it if they put it in a bank. Take the gold to a pawn shop, the car to a used car lot, the woman to drug treatment center and then you will have a pushers net worth, which he earned with so much misery.

The guy who wrote the song "Pusherman", Curtis Mayfield, almost didn't do it because he was vehemently against the entire movie. He didn't like seeing a coke dealer glorified either. I like to think that when he finally wrote the song, there was supposed to be a darkness and irony to it because the speaker is a coke dealer.

I always thought that too, because the speaker basically admits to being a pusher, and most pushers try to justify what they do by saying the supply a need and customers come to them.

Ever seen the movie? I really don't like gangster movies and I think Youngblood is a really mean guy, but it's still a good movie. It's worthwhile if you remember that it influenced an entire generation and beyond in America.
